Inter-VRF Routing

VRFs are like VLANs except at the L3 level. They separate and isolate routing tables entirely until given explicit commands to interface with one another. You might see such scenarios at a service provider where they want to split up dedicated customer routes with overlapping address spaces. The VRFs will allow this because the routing tables are isolated.
